Grand Circle Corporation is currently recruiting Trip Experience Leaders (Tour Guides) to lead land tours across The Baltic Capitals for the 2026 travel season.
WHO WE ARE
Grand Circle Corporation is the largest U.S. provider of international vacations for Americans aged 50 and older. We’re a family of three brands: Grand Circle Cruise Line, Overseas Adventure Travel, and Grand Circle Travel. Our small group sizes, unsurpassed value and excellence, and unique itineraries position us as the industry leader in travel and discovery.
Role Overview
Lead a small group of senior American travelers (typically no more than 16) on a 15- or 20-day journey, following a detailed itinerary. Destinations include Poland (Krakow, Warsaw), Lithuania (Vilnius, Klaipeda), Latvia (Riga), Estonia (Tallinn), and Finland (Helsinki), offering a rich cultural experience across the Baltic region.
Responsibilities
Travel with the group throughout the itinerary – primarily by coach, as well as by air and sea – while managing daily routing and timing. Coordinate with drivers, restaurants, local guides, and guest speakers; assist with hotel operations, airport check‑ins, and baggage handling; and deliver engaging commentary on the destinations visited. Additionally, plan and schedule extra sightseeing stops and meals not included in the itinerary, all while ensuring the safety, well‑being, and enjoyment of our travelers throughout their journey.
Initiate contact with travelers prior to departure through personalized pre‑trip emails and phone calls to introduce yourself, share key trip details, answer questions, and begin building rapport – ensuring a smooth and welcoming start to their journey.
Engage travelers throughout the journey with informative talks on topics such as history, culture, daily life, local issues, and key highlights of the cities and countries visited. Personalize their experience by offering meaningful free‑time activity suggestions and organizing guided tours and discovery walks to unique, less‑explored locations that enrich their understanding and connection to each destination.
Manage daily operations throughout the trip, including reconfirming transportation and scheduled activities, collaborating with local guides, restaurants, and vendors, coordinating medical assistance in case of emergencies (with support from our regional office), and addressing any additional traveler concerns or requests that may arise.
Requirements
Exceptional people skills – Ability to connect with travelers, create a welcoming atmosphere, and deliver a memorable experience.
Passion for the region – Genuine enthusiasm for the people, cultures, and traditions of the Baltic area. Important: Candidates must be locals of the regions we travel to.

In‑depth regional knowledge – Strong understanding of the area’s history, culture, and current affairs.
Openness and authenticity – Willingness to share personal experiences and discuss sensitive topics.
Adaptability and curiosity – Eagerness to learn, explore new experiences, and adjust effectively in various situations.
Problem‑solving skills – Ability to address and resolve issues during trips to ensure a smooth experience for travelers.
Organizational strength – Flexible, creative, self‑reliant, and well‑organized.
Basic tech skills – Familiarity with Excel for submitting end‑of‑trip reports and paperwork.
Relevant experience – Prior work with American travelers, including guiding or leading small groups.
Customer focus – Attentive to travelers’ needs, with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
Schedule flexibility – Willingness to work non‑traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.
